CLAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria
- The CLAT 2019 registration process is expected to begin from 1st January 2019.
- Before filling the CLAT 2019 application form for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, candidates must ensure that they meet the required eligibility for CLAT 2019.
- The eligibility for both CLAT UG and PG programmes is as under:
For Undergraduate Programmes:
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate should have cleared 10+2 with at least 45% marks for General/Specially Abled Persons (SAP)/ OBC and other categories category and for SC/ST it must be 40 %.
- The candidate should submit his/her qualifying result (10+2) at the time of admission.
- The candidate appearing for 10+2 examination in March/April 2019 is also eligible for appearing in CLAT 2019 online examination. However, he/she shall be required to submit the proof of passing the 10+2 examination at the time of admission. Failing to submit the proof means candidates shall lose his/her seat of admission.
Age Criteria:
- The maximum age set to appear in CLAT 2019 is 20 years for General category, 22 years for SC/ST category candidates.
For Postgraduate Programmes:
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate should have 3-year LL.B degree/ 5-year LL.B integrated degree or any equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for General/Specially Abled Persons (SAP)/ OBC and other categories and 50% for SC/ST category candidates.
- The candidate should have completed the final semester/final year exam of the undergraduate degree examination at the time of admission.
- In case of those candidates who have appeared in the degree exam, they must submit their final result of qualifying examination within the time given by the respective University/Institute. Till then, those candidates will be given provisional admission.
Age Criteria:
- There is no upper age limit for the postgraduate law programme in CLAT 2019.
CLAT Application Form 2019

- The application form will be available only through online mode from the official website.
- CLAT Registration 2019 will be started from the 1st January to 31st March 2019.
- Only one application will be filled by the candidate.
- Upload your scanned photograph (Dimensions: 200×230 pixels & Size: 20KB to 50KB), Signature (Dimensions: 140×60 pixels & Size: 10KB to 20KB) and Specially Abled Persons (SAP) certificate (If required).
- There will be no need to send a hard copy of the filled application to the CLAT office.
- After successful form submission, no alteration/editing in the online application will be done.
Application Fee:
- Candidates should submit Rs. 4000 as an application fee.
- For SC/ST category, it will be Rs. 3500.
- The fee payment will be done through credit card/debit card/net banking/pay wallet/RuPay, etc.
- Candidates will also make payment through offline mode (Bank Challan).
- The fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable.

For UG Courses
- Questions: The question paper comprises of 200 marks.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer will be awarded and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong response.
- Duration: The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.

CLAT 2019 Admit Card
- Admit card will be issued on CLAT portal in the 3rd week of April 2019.
- Only successful registered candidates will be issued the CLAT Admit card 2019.
- Admit card has to be downloaded from the official site.
- There is no facility of sending admit card via post or e-mail as mentioned clearly that CLAT Admit card 2019 will be issued online only.
- Candidates must carry one identity proof along with the admit card to the examination centre.
CLAT 2019 Result

CLAT 2019 Counselling
- CLAT counselling 2019 will be conducted in the 1st week of June 2019 tentatively.
- The online counselling will consist of 4 rounds.
- Seats will be allotted to the candidate on the basis of ‘merit-cum-preference’.
- Candidates who are selected for admission have to remit the counselling fee which amounts to Rs. 50,000/- with CLAT-2019 Office.
Cutoff Reviews for the latest CLAT exam
- Feedback from the students after taking the exam entailed details like the exam was good but extremely lengthy. The result was that a number of students couldn’t complete taking their exam on time. Also, many technical snags marred CLAT 2018 which gave them a bad experience.
- By the way, a score of 140/200 in CLAT 2019 can offer the candidates, top three NLUs to choose from. These NLUs are– NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata. On the other hand, a score of around 130/200 would ensure admission in any one of the NLUs.
