MHT CET 2019

MHT CET 2019: Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra.

  • Aspirants through this exam will get admissions into a full-time degree courses, drug store and science courses like B.Tech, B.Pharm, and Pharm.D.
  • Students who will be appearing for the entrance test can submit their preference about different features of the online exam.
  • MHT CET is conducted for admission to Degree Courses of Technical Education (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Pharm. D.).
  • MHT CET was the only exam which was conducted in offline mode.
  • State Entrance Test Cell has been conducting all other CETs, MAH MBA/MMS CET, MAH MCA CET, MAH B.HMCT CET, in online mode.
  • Earlier the exam was conducted in offline mode but for next year, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra is mulling to conduct the exam in online mode.
  • The application form will be published by DTE Maharashtra by the first week of Feb 2019 in the official website of DTE, ie. dtemaharashtra.gov.in

MHT CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate appearing for MHT CET 2019 should be a citizen of India.
  • Age Criteria: There is no age limit to appear for this examination.
  • Minimum Qualification: Candidates have to pass 10+2 to be eligible for MHT CET 2019.

Educational criteria:

Engineering/ TechnologyA pass in HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical or Vocational subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects is required.Those with Diploma in Engineering/ B.Sc with 50% marks are also eligible.
PharmacyThe candidates who have cleared their HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical or Vocational subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects are eligible.
Pharma.DThe candidates who have cleared their HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical or Vocational subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects are eligible.The applicants who have done Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute affiliated to State Board can apply for MHT CET 2019.

*A relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks will be given to OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD candidates of Maharashtra

For Engineering/ Technology, the candidates with a valid score in JEE Main 2019 will be exempted from appearing in the MHT CET 2019.
